SEO Content

Google’s search algorithms are continuously changing, but quality content will always win.

Search engines attempt to rank relevant, high-quality content higher than material it deems less so. And they keep correcting their rankings!  If Google ranks a web page #1 for a particular search term, but users continually skip to click on the #3 result or click on the #1 result and then quickly click away and spend more time on #3, Google will move #3 to #1. This means that quality, relevant content is king. There are several SEO “tricks” to push content to the top of the search rankings (keyword dumping, for example) that are no longer as effective as they once were. However, there are still many ways writers can work to make a web page SEO rich:

  • Quality, lengthy content (typically over 2,000 words)
  • Keyword research and analysis
  • Latent semantic indexing (LSI)
  • Back-end keyword tags
  • High-quality backlinks
